OUR MISSION
To be the leading provider of Nigerian and West African energy business intelligence to the global investment community, employing cutting edge media technology.

About EIS Nigeria
EIS NIGERIA operates through a network of experienced professional people in all the business sectors covered. The research and data gathering work is in turn anchored by veteran business journalists who are themselves resourceful and equipped with the requisite skills to distill important economic trends, interpret public policy and the direction of macro-economic indices in Nigeria and the rest of the Gulf of Guinea.

Energy Information Services Nigeria Limited, owner of the EIS NIGERIA, EIS EVENTS, ABUJA PETROLEUM ROUNDTABLE, NIGERIA ENERGY AWARDS, NIGERIA PETROLEUM GOLDEN JUBILEE AWARDS and 50 YEARS OF OIL PRODUCTION IN NIGERIA brands, titles and trademarks is a multimedia provider of business intelligence with bias for the energy industries on Nigeria and the Gulf of Guinea. Products and services range from its sole print, television and internet media brands, seminars and workshops – to other local and international publishing and events management partnerships. Projects executed cover data gathering and custom/contract publishing; research, television documentaries, television programming and workshops - mostly for the oil and gas industry.

EIS NIGERIA also publishes Nigerian Energy Chronicles in print and on-line; African Petrobusiness and several collaborative publications with different institutions, especially the Institute of Petroleum Studies of the University of port Harcourt and Thisday Newspapers. Work is almost completed and the special publication - 50 YEARS OF OIL PRODUCTION IN NIGERIA, incorporating WHO’S WHO IN 50 YEARS OF OIL and LANDMARK PROJECTS IN 50 YEARS OF OIL will be released before the end of 2009.

Assignments have been carried out for third party clients like the Niger Delta Development Commission, the Nasarawa State Committee on Privatisation of Government Owned Companies and several smaller clients. These assignments which cover Nigeria’s length and breadth, have given us the opportunity to master Nigerian business environment and its peculiarities. From the rugged rain forest terrain in the South East to the arid North- West or the Savannah Middle Belt, we completely understand the Nigerian landscape and geography.

Our television programme BusinessNow hitherto broadcast once a week on the network of Africa Independent Television (AIT) pending the availability of sustainable sponsorship which will help develop it into a syndicated programme on many television networks across Nigeria and as streaming video on our web-site.

EIS Events is being developed as a world class events management unit and brand. Several local and international events are being put together especially for the energy industries in Abuja and later, with availability of sponsorship, extended to other major oil cities like Singapore, Calgary, Aberdeen, London and Stavanger among others.

However, the major focus for now are the ABUJA PETROLEUM ROUNDTABLE and NIGERIA ENERGY AWARDS (see the links to the web pages for these programmes to get more information).

EIS EVENTS has also entered into a number of partnerships with other events organizers and managers locally and internationally to widen the horizon and sphere of coverage and distribution of our print and electronic journals.

Energy Information Services Nigeria Limited is focused on being the leading Nigerian publisher of business intelligence and news on Nigeria especially in oil and gas, power and electricity, solid minerals, public sector information/data and stock market/investment watch. This role will be complimented and enhanced by local conferences and workshops such as Abuja Petroleum Roundtable; training workshops such as Oil and Gas for Financial Services Operators et cetera.

OUR KEY PRODUCTS

Nigeria Energy Chronicles
Although it has enjoyed wide acclaim from readers in the energy industries in particular and from professionals in the other sectors, Nigerian Energy Chronicles has not been consistently published in 2008 and 2009 due to a multiplicity of factors, which have largely been addressed. We are therefore relaunching the on-line version in the month of November and the monthly print edition in December. The December 2009 Special print Edition will focus on LOCAL CONTENT AFRICA Conference holding in South Africa this December. EIS NIGERIA is participating as a Media Partner at this high profile event and will be leveraging on this to provide the Nigerian perspective to the Local Content drive worldwide, through this special publication.

African Petrobusiness
African Petrobusiness, designed as an international monthly magazine with focus on the West African oil region, was first published in a test run in May 2005 and June. Both editions were circulated internationally, particularly at the 2005 Offshore Technology Conference in Houston and the World Petroleum Show in Calgary, Canada. Subsequent editions were postponed. It has since been on the drawing board to properly define its focus and character.
African Petrobusiness will be published quarterly effective, second quarter of 2010 as an international authoritative journal focused on the Gulf of Guinea oil province. This region has become the most active oil theatre in the world, and may remain so for decades to come. The distribution focus remains national and international, with special emphasis on major energy events world-wide, which we intend to visit at least once a month, and where participants will receive copies.
